You hear me talk a lot about chiropractic care and children. Today, I’m going to change gears. I want to tell you about Carl, who just began his Initial Intensive Care at the age of 92.
During his examination, I was surprised that he could bend and touch his toes. “I’m old, I ain’t dead”, he jokingly told me. Carl related to me that he has no pain anywhere, and he has been seeing chiropractors since junior high school. He said if there was anything I could do to help improve his quality of life and help him stay healthy, he wanted it. “Wow! He gets it!” I thought.
“There should be a law requiring every newborn baby to be checked by a chiropractor after birth”, he told me, and continued to say that he believed that the best time to be in a chiropractor’s office is when a person thinks everything’s ok. (I was ready to applaud!) You see, I have invested the majority of my years trying to get through to people who have read, listened to and watched over 250,000 hours of advertising designed to convince them that drugs are the answer to their problems. Carl was singing my song!
Listen, it isn’t often that you meet a 92 year old that is still full of life. Carl, a full-time minister, buried three people last week, most young enough to be his children. He’s doing something right…his ideas about health aren’t typical…neither is Carl.
